Moorland Rover has for many years been offering small, escorted tours off the beaten track in
different parts of the UK and Ireland. The itineraries are set, but whimsical – Stephen Rees-Jones, who operates and escorts the tours, enjoys nothing more than taking clients on fascinating journeys of exploration through the countryside where they ‘happen upon' all kinds of interesting events, local people, crafts and wayside inns. Accommodations for the Moorland Rover tours are small, individually run hotels where the welcome is always warm, the food good, and the beds comfortable.

BYWATER CRUISES: 2010 - CHOICE OF HORSE DRAWN HOLIDAY CRUISES
Our horse drawn boat Sian can be found cruising the beautiful Montgomery Canal from April to October. Passengers have a choice of holidays.
Book a Bygone Times Break and come for 6 nights. Three days of your Bygone Times break are spent with Buddy, Sian and crew cruising quietly through the Welsh Marches. One afternoon you enjoy a ride on the delightfully quaint Llanfair and Welshpool Steam Railway. Opened in 1903 this narrow gauge railway passes through quiet countryside as it weaves its way through the Banwy Valley Price $940 USD per person
Bywater Break: 4 nights. To cruise on a horse drawn boat is a totally unique experience as Sian glides silently through the water. With boat horse Buddy clip clopping in the distance you have effectively stepped back 200 years in time. Small farm bridges, once busy village wharfs and the occasional aqueduct mark Sian’s passage through the countryside $625.00 per person.
Try a Weekend on Water Break, 3 nights/2 days cruising, designed for people who want a weekend away to escape the pressures of 21st century life for a short time. Your weekend begins on Friday afternoon and ends after breakfast on the following Monday. Price $475 USD.
