Walking/Touring in Teruel, Spain
Teruel is one of Spain's unspoilt treasures where people who enjoy glorious mountain regions can discover rolling hills, dramatic river gorges and a profusion of wild flowers in the Sierra de Gudar. Surprisingly, this area is only 1.5hrs drive from Valencia on Spain's Mediterranean
coast. The region has a dry, sunny climate and you can spend 1 week or longer here at any time of year, except July and August when it really is too hot. The Sierra is of exceptional beauty and is about to be designated as a 'Natural Park'.
Walking or sightseeing tours are directed by an expatriate Englishman, Eric Wright. Eric and his wife Jan have lived in Spain for 20 years and are very much a part of the local community. They have restored Il Molino (the mill) where they offer charming accommodations for up to 6 people at any one time. There are log fires for cooler evenings and the mill is centrally heated.
They grow their own produce, there is good local fishing, and Jan has a reputation for fine cooking, using home-grown
vegetables, eggs from their own chickens and the best from elsewhere in the dishes she creates for Il Molino guests. Their hospitality and local knowledge is legendary – a stay here is a wonderful experience. Good food, good conversation and much laughter.
For larger parties or if you prefer to have additional amenities such as heated swimming pool and larger rooms/suites than at Il Molino, together with gymnasium, sauna, games room etc, accommodations are arranged in the nearby Hotel Montana in Rubielos de Mora, just a short distance from the mill.
Eric has for many years been a well-known walking guide in the region. He continues to offer our clients escorted
walking or driven sightseeing holidays. There is much of historical interest, and an abundance of local villages where you can enjoy local customs, views and traditional fairs, not to mention excellent 'tapas' bars for 'tasty snacks' and a cooling drink while you are sightseeing.

Walking/sightseeing Options: 7 nights at Il Molino $1225 per person, sharing twin or double room. (single supplement $175), to include:
- Breakfast and dinner each night with wine.
- Double or twin bedded accommodations with private toilet, wash basin and traditional shower.
- Transfers to/from Valencia airport.
- 4 days guided walking or sightseeing, either alone (minimum of 2 people) or with up to 4 others at a time.
Dates all year except July & August – subject to availability. Minimum of 2 people.
Or: 7 nights at Hotel Montana $1345 per person, Single supplement $185 to include:
- Breakfast and dinner each night
- Double or twin bedded accommodations with private bathroom and bath/shower.
- Transfers to/from Valencia airport.
- 4 days guided walking or sightseeing in the Sierra in a group of no more than 10.
Dates all year except July and August, and subject to availability. Minimum of 2 people.
Walks will be planned according to the interests and abilities of all the walkers at any one time. If you prefer to visit
towns and villages of the area and see the scenery from the comfort of Eric's Land Rover, then your 4 days will be planned accordingly. You do not have to be a 'walker' to enjoy Teruel.

Getting There: Flights from the USA go direct to Madrid from where you can continue your journey
to Valencia either by connecting flight, or by train to Valencia. Notify us of your arrival time into Valencia and you will be met for a transfer to Teruel. Return road transfer to Valencia airport is also included in the quoted price. Airfare is not included.

Once you have accepted the quotation, we can take your deposit by credit card over the phone, or you can mail us your check for the deposit amount. You can let us know your payment has been sent, or request an invoice, using our Payment Notification Form. Deposits are fully refundable, less an administration charge of $75 per person, for any cancellation received up to 45 days prior to the start of your tour.
